The formula
How the aggregate is calculated
UNILAG runs two published systems — the university announces which applies each cycle:
System A (classic): Aggregate = (UTME ÷ 8) + (Post UTME ÷ 2), scored over 100. Example: UTME 290 gives 36.25, Post UTME 70 gives 35, aggregate 71.25.
System B (with O'level): 50% UTME (score ÷ 8) + 30% Post UTME (scored over 30) + 20% O'level, where five relevant subjects grade as A1 = 4.0, B2 = 3.6, B3 = 3.2, C4 = 2.8, C5 = 2.4, C6 = 2.0 at ONE sitting. Scoring below 12 in the screening disqualifies regardless of JAMB.
Confirm the active system on the UNILAG portal each admission year.
