The rules
Terms of use
What you are buying, what you may do with it, and the handful of rules that will actually stop your account if you break them. Each one is enforced by the software itself, not merely written down here.

Who you are agreeing with
LockInPoint is designed and built by Isaac Arinola Tech, the software studio of Isaac Arinola, and published by Noesis Innovations. These terms cover the website and the Android, iOS, Windows, macOS and Linux apps. Creating an account or paying for activation means accepting them.
Your account
One account belongs to one student. Sign up with your real surname and first name · they are printed on your receipt and burned into the study materials you open, so a false name mostly inconveniences you.
- Signing up sends a six digit code to your email address to confirm it is yours.
- A password reset is an emailed code, limited per account · by default one a day and three a week. An admin can reset on your behalf when you cannot reach your inbox, and you are emailed either way, so a password can never change silently.
- One device at a time. Signing in somewhere new takes the slot and signs the old device out. The one exception is a CBT in progress: the takeover waits until that paper is submitted, so nobody loses a timed sitting because somebody else signed in.
- Your sign in is yours. Sharing it is the fastest way to have the account frozen · see the suspension section below.
What activation buys
Activation is one payment. It is not a subscription, it does not renew, and nothing in the software expires it: activating sets a single flag on your account with the date, and every gate on the platform reads that flag from then on. The list price in Nigeria is ₦5,000. Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia and The Gambia each have their own price · see what it costs.
It is account wide. Pay on the website and the phone app opens too; buy inside the Android app and the website opens. One entitlement, reached four ways.
Card or online payment
Runs through Paystack. The amount is decided on our server from the price table · your browser never names its own price.
An activation key
Seven digits, sold by the team. A key works exactly once. Redeeming it activates you immediately and writes a receipt. A key that has already been used is refused, whoever used it.
Bank transfer
Pay into one of the listed accounts and send the screenshot. An admin confirms it and activates you, usually the same day. A notice cannot be sent without the screenshot, and sending it twice attaches to the notice you already have rather than opening a second one.
Google Play or the App Store
The store issues a purchase token, which we verify with Google or Apple directly. A token entitles exactly one account, for ever.
A discount or referral code is checked before checkout opens, so an invalid code stops the payment instead of quietly charging you the full price. No code can bring a charge below ₦100.
Study materials, and what you may not do with them
Notes, videos, slides, documents, theory sessions and practical sessions are published by LockInPoint tutors. Opening a note or a file requires an activated account; a video only requires being signed in.
Every note carries your own name repeated across the page. Every PDF is stamped with your identity diagonally on every page, on our server, before it reaches you, and the storage it came from is never exposed. A leaked copy therefore names the account it leaked from.
You may read them, print them and study from them. You may not republish them, resell them, upload them to another site or group, or pass your sign in to someone else so they can reach them.
Past questions and the examination bodies
The past questions on LockInPoint sat in real examination halls first. The papers themselves belong to the bodies that set them. Their names are used here only to say which examination a question came from.
LockInPoint is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to JAMB, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or any university, polytechnic or college whose screening we prepare students for. We are an independent preparation platform. Nothing you read here is an official statement from any examination body, and where a school publishes its own modalities or cut off marks, the school’s own release is the one that counts.
Questions you contribute
The Question Harvest is how the Post UTME bank grows: students who have just written a screening send in what they remember. Sending a question requires an account, so the contribution carries your name to the tutor who reviews it.
Send one question per submission, the options as they appeared, and the answer only if you are sure of it. Every submission is stored as pending and read by a tutor, who approves or rejects it · an approved question is then entered properly into that school’s bank rather than appearing automatically.
By sending a question you allow LockInPoint to publish and edit it for other students, with no payment owed to you. Do not paste in copyrighted material · text lifted from a textbook or a coaching centre’s notes is not a remembered past question.
Refer and earn
Every account carries a five character referral code. Share it, and when somebody signs up with it and activates, ₦500 is credited to you. The rules the software enforces:
- The credit lands on their activation, not on their signup. An account that signs up and never pays earns you nothing.
- One credit per referred account, ever. A student who deactivates and activates again does not pay you twice.
- Entering your own code earns nothing.
- You can request a withdrawal once your balance reaches ₦1,000. A withdrawal takes the whole balance, and needs the account name, bank name and account number.
- Requests are checked by a person and verified requests are paid within 24 to 48 hours. A declined request returns the amount to your balance · it is not money taken from you.
Referral earnings are for referring real students. A credit can be reversed by the team, and an account set up to farm credits can be frozen.
Competition rounds and prizes
The leaderboard ranks everybody since the beginning. A round is a window with a start date, an end date and prizes, so everyone starts level on the day it opens. Only sittings inside the window count towards it.
- A round may be open to everybody or pinned to one country, and may count one examination or all of them. Its name, dates and prizes are set per round.
- Prizes are set per position · first, second, third and so on · and are written in words, because a prize is sometimes a sum of money and sometimes a JAMB form or a data bundle.
- When a round closes, the winners are worked out once and stored. They are never recomputed, so a leaderboard that keeps moving cannot change who won last month.
- There may well be no round open when you look. Rounds are opened by the team, not on a fixed calendar.
Points come from sittings you submit, study days and visits. Arcade scores in Blitz 60, Survival, Road to 400 and Daily Ten are personal bests kept in your own browser · they do not feed the leaderboard and cannot win a round.
How to behave in the student rooms
PointGram is the student chat. Tutors speak there with a tick beside their name so you can tell staff from students. Keep it about studying. An admin can delete any message, lock the room behind a password, or switch it off entirely.
Do not post other people’s personal details, exam material you were asked to keep confidential, or anything you would not say in a classroom.
When an account is suspended
The team can freeze an account. A frozen student sees a lock screen saying the account is paused while unusual activity is reviewed, usually material sharing. A sign in being passed around is reviewed the same way. Nothing you paid for is destroyed by a freeze, and unfreezing puts you straight back.
If your account is frozen and you think it is wrong, write to info@lockinpoint.com from the address on the account and a person will look at it.
What we do not promise
LockInPoint prepares you. It does not guarantee a score, an admission or a cut off.
- The question bank is filled year by year. A year with no questions in it says so rather than showing you something invented.
- Aggregate formulas and departmental cut off ranges are guides drawn from past cycles. Competition resets every year and the institution’s own release is final.
- Lumi is an AI tutor and can be wrong. Check her working against the explanation on the question, and report a question that looks wrong · the report button reaches a real tutor.
Refunds, your data, and changes
What happens when a payment goes wrong is set out on the refunds page. What is stored about you, and how to have it deleted, is set out in the privacy policy.
When these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Questions about anything here go to info@lockinpoint.com.
