Payments
Refunds
Activation is one payment for digital access that opens the moment it is confirmed. This page says plainly what is refundable, what is fixed instead, and what to send us so it can be.
Last updated 13 September 2026.
The position, stated plainly
Activation opens every examination, every year of past questions, the tutor notes and study files, Lumi and the rest of the platform · permanently, as soon as the payment clears. Because all of it is delivered at once and never expires, a completed activation is not refunded because you changed your mind or stopped studying.
What we do fix, every time, is a payment that did not do what it was meant to do. Money taken without activation is not a refund question, it is a fault · and the cases below are the ones this platform can actually produce.
Find your reference first
Almost everything below is answered faster with a reference. Every payment and activation on your account is listed at my receipts, newest first, with the reference beside it and a printable receipt behind it.
- A card or online payment reads LKP- followed by numbers and letters.
- An activation key reads KEY- followed by the seven digits.
If nothing is listed at all, the payment never reached us under that account · say so, and send the debit alert from your bank instead.
You paid and you are not activated
Every card payment is checked twice, by two separate paths: Paystack calls our server directly, and the page you land on after checkout asks Paystack again itself. When that page says Paystack has not confirmed this payment yet, it means Paystack itself had not yet marked the charge successful when the page asked · both checks ask Paystack, so neither can confirm it before Paystack does. Paystack’s own call reaches our server on its own connection, and that call activates the account whether or not you keep the page open.
So, in order:
- Wait a minute, then sign in again and look at your dashboard.
- Check my receipts. Opening the receipt behind a row shows its status · a successful one says so.
- Still not activated · send us the reference and the email on the account. The team can see the transaction and activate you directly, which is faster than reversing a payment that worked.
The awkward cases, and what happens in each
You paid less than the price
A payment that does not cover the price for your country is recorded as failed and does not activate the account · the server judges the amount, not the browser. Send the reference and we will either take the difference or return what came in.
You paid twice
One account only ever needs one activation, so a second payment buys nothing. Send both references and the second one is returned. Two different accounts each paying once is not a duplicate · that is two students.
Your bank transfer has not been confirmed
A transfer notice with its screenshot waits in the admin queue until a person confirms it, usually the same day. Sending the notice again attaches to the one you already have rather than opening a second one, and it does not charge you twice. If a day has passed, send us the screenshot and the time of the transfer.
Your activation key was refused as already used
Each key works exactly once. The platform records when a key was spent and, unless that account has since been deleted, which account spent it. If yours is refused and you never used it, send the seven digits and where you bought it.
A store purchase says it activated another account
A Google Play or App Store purchase entitles exactly one LockInPoint account, for ever. Usually this means you bought it while signed in to a different account of your own · sign in to that one. If it was not you, send the store order number and the email on the account.
A referral withdrawal was declined
That is not a charge and nothing was taken from you. A declined request returns the amount to your referral balance, and you can request it again once the account details are right.
Purchases made inside the apps
If you bought activation through Google Play or the App Store, the money was taken by Google or Apple, not by us, and only they can reverse it · through Play’s order history or Apple’s Report a Problem page, under their own refund rules. What we can do from here is make sure the account you meant to activate is the one that is activated. Write to us with the store order number and we will sort the account out.
What to send, and where
Write to info@lockinpoint.com with:
- the reference from my receipts, or your bank’s debit alert if there is no row;
- the email address the LockInPoint account uses;
- what you expected to happen and what happened instead.
A person reads it. There is no deadline on telling us about a payment that went wrong · if you were charged and did not get what you paid for, say so whenever you notice, with the reference, and it will be looked at.
The rest of the rules around activation · one payment, no renewal, a key that works once · are on the terms of use page.
