About us

What LockInPoint is

LockInPoint was built by Tutor Bello with one goal: every serious student in West Africa passes.

LockInPoint is an exam preparation platform for West African students, covering JAMB, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, GCE and Post UTME. Most of it is real past questions, each filed under the examination that set it. The rest is tutorial questions, which the practice chooser labels as teaching questions that never sat a past paper. You can browse every examination, subject and year without paying a naira · opening the questions, the solutions, the notes and Lumi takes one activation.

The examinations

Each card below shows the first year that examination covers. A question carries one examination and one subject, so nothing from one board is ever counted under another.

JAMB

Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board — UTME

From 1978

WAEC

West African Examinations Council — WASSCE

From 1999

NECO

National Examinations Council — SSCE

From 2000

Post-UTME

Post UTME — University Screening

From 2005

NABTEB

National Business and Technical Examinations Board

From 1993

GCE

Private candidates · one door per board

How the questions are organised

Every question sits in one examination's own bank, under one subject, and a bank is never borrowed from another board · a WAEC question is not shown inside NECO to make a year look fuller. GCE is separated one step further: a board's GCE questions belong to that board's own GCE row, not to its May/June bank, which is the exact mix-up the chooser at /exams/gce exists to prevent.

  • Pick how you practise. A single year, a topic, a random mix of the whole subject, or tutorial questions · teaching questions written by a tutor that never sat a past paper.
  • An empty year says it is empty. Nothing is generated to fill a gap, and a selection with no questions behind it tells you so instead of inventing a paper.
  • The full JAMB mock. Use of English (60 questions) plus your three chosen subjects at 40 each · 180 questions on one 2 hour clock, scored over 400.
  • Mini mocks. 10, 20, 40 or 60 questions at 40 seconds each, with the score still projected over 400.

What a student actually gets

Each door below says what is behind it and what it asks for before it opens.

Practice and CBT

Pick an examination, a subject, then a year, a topic or a random mix. Practice mode marks each answer instantly and shows the explanation; CBT mode runs the clock and holds the corrections until you submit.

Browsing is open · the questions need a log in, then activation

The Hub

Three doors. Materials holds notes, videos, slides and documents. Theory holds full written sessions from your tutor. Practical walks through the work step by step.

Log in first · the notes and files inside Materials need activation

The Classroom

Examination, then subject, then what you came for — Notes in the reader, Videos that play on the page, or Files through the protected gate.

Choosing is open · videos need a log in, notes and files need activation

What it costs, and what free means

Free means you can browse every examination, subject and year, and see exactly what is in the bank before you decide. Activation is what opens the questions themselves, the solutions, the notes and Lumi · one payment, once, for all of it. There is no monthly fee.

  • ₦5,000 in Nigeria. Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia and The Gambia each have their own price, charged in naira. The figure you are charged is the figure shown on the activation page for your country.
  • Card, bank transfer or an activation key. Keys are 7 digit codes sold by the team. On /activate, tap “I have an activation key” and it opens everything the moment it is accepted · each key works exactly once.
  • Activation happens inside an account. A signed out visitor who opens /activate is sent to the log in page first, so make the account before you pay.

Create a free account to see the bank, and activate when you are ready.

The tutor

Tutor Bello writes and checks what is here. What that means day to day is that a person, not a scraper, decides what a student sees:

  • A question appears on the platform only once a tutor has published it. Anything unpublished is in no bank, no game and no mock.
  • A Post UTME question sent in through the harvest is read by the tutor first. Approved ones are then added properly to that school's bank · nothing posts itself.
  • The Theory door in the Hub holds full written sessions from a tutor, and Practical walks through the same work step by step.
  • The aggregate formulas and departmental cut off ranges in the oracle are maintained by the tutor, institution by institution.

Who built it

LockInPoint was designed and built by Isaac Arinola Tech, the Nigerian software studio of Isaac Arinola, and is published by Noesis Innovations. The studio's own page is at /creator.

The same platform ships on Android, iPhone, Windows, macOS and Linux as well as the web · the front door lists every build that is ready, and says plainly when one is not.

Lumi, the AI tutor

Ask about a question you got wrong or a topic that will not sit still, and get it back in plain English rather than in symbols.

Log in, then activate

The games arena

Blitz 60, Survival, Road to 400, Daily Ten and The Climb. Every one of them draws live from the same published question bank as practice.

Log in first · The Climb also needs activation

Aggregate and cut offs

Universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, colleges of nursing and monotechnics — each with how its aggregate is calculated and the cut off ranges by department.

Open to everyone, no account needed

Post UTME rooms

A room per school. Open practice runs 30 questions with the answers and explanations; the CBT hall runs 40 questions in 30 minutes, drawn from that school's own bank.

Browsing is open · the questions need a log in, then activation

The Guardian Portal

A parent, teacher or school links with the student's Product Key and follows results and subject strengths — never their password, their phone or their payment details.

A separate guardian account

Three more rooms, and only two of them ask you to sign in. The leaderboard is open to anyone · it ranks on the points it actually counts · 10 for a correct answer, 25 for finishing an attempt, 100 for each day your streak is live and 5 for opening the app · and narrows to your country, your state or your school. Refer and earn, which does need an account, pays ₦500 for each friend who signs up through your link and activates, withdrawable to a bank account from ₦1,000. And the harvest · also signed in · is where a student who has just written a Post UTME paper types in the questions they remember.
